From Junction 25 of the M25
Take the A10 towards Hertford/Cheshunt, at the first roundabout, go right taking the A121 Winston Churchill Way towards Cheshunt, Waltham Cross, At the next roundabout keep right and take the 3rd exit on to the A121 (Monarchs Way) towards Waltham Abbey, At the next roundabout go straight over on to Station Road staying on the A121. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit on to the B194 Abbey View. At the next Roundabout take the 1st exit on to the B194 Crooked Mile (Signposted B194 Harlow, Nazeing)
For Hooks Marsh Pit and Seventy Acres Pit,
Follow the Crooked Mile approx. 1 mile and then turn left on to Fishers Green Lane - The car park is at the end of this lane - This is a pay and display car park. It is also possible to park in one of the free car parks and cross Bailey bridge if you are prepared for a bit of a walk.
For The River Lea, Relief Channel and Langridge Lake
Follow the directions above but instead of turning on to Fishers Green Lane, carry on approx. ¼ of a mile and turn left on to Stubbins Hall Lane – after approx. ¼ of a mile there is a pay and display car park which can be used if fishing this end of the fishery. If you are not parking in this car park just drive through it and turn left, you will then go over a bridge across the relief channel. At the fork you will encounter the first locked gate on the left
GATE CODES ARE IN YOUR MEMBERSHIP BOOK, Follow the road approx. ½ mile and after you pass the electricity substation the first free car park is on the right and the second free car park is approx. ½ mile further along the track.
Parking
There is a couple of small free car parks for the River Lea and Langridge Lake close to the river and lake and also a pay and display car park (pay by phone). Depending on how far you want to walk will determine which is the best car park to use.
For Seventy Acres and Hooks Marsh there is a pay and display car park at the end of Fishers Green Lane – the current cost of the pay and display car parks is £6.00 for 24 Hours (Note that the 24-hour tariffs expire at midnight). A discounted annual parking permit is available for £25 via the club - contact us for more details.
